Modern hotel and good service. Family atmosphere and family room with a wonderful soft squishy bed. Large breakfast in the restaurant to start the day. Free parking onsite provided. Everything beautiful. Location not far from the temples and the riverside. Also, in the mountains of Yamagata...

The staff at this hotel were amazing, always smiling and willing to help. the food was delicious and we even got complementary snacks and drinks in our room. the location near the train station made it easy to get around. We enjoyed the beautiful view from our room, especially during sunrise.
The hotel is old and some areas show signs of wear. Our room had a bit of mould and some stains on the walls and mats.

The view from the room and the massage chair were definitely the best aspects of our stay in this hotel during Christmas time. The snow-covered landscape and the peacefulness of the location definitely added charm to our experience. , the staff was very kind and offered a free ride to the train station and a nearby store for last-minute purchases.
Sadly, the dining experience was not what we expected. The breakfast was limited and not to our liking.

Nestled away from the bustling city, this hotel is a serene haven near ancient temples with gorgeous surroundings. the friendly staff greets you with a warm welcome and useful recommendations about the area. Rooms, though dated, are still cozy and clean with a wonderful view in winter. You will especially love the communal onsen with an indoor and outdoor option providing a sense of relaxation. the inclusive dinner is a fascinating gastronomy experience, beautifully prepared with locally sourced produce and flavors. Breakfast enthralls with its flavors and variety, enough to satisfy any appetite.
Although the hotel is well-kept, the carpeting in some areas could use an upgrade.
